Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association and Victoria Park team up

Victoria Park has named the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association as its first ever chosen charity partner. The partnership will see Guernsey’s new home of football supporting the charity with various fundraising and brand awareness initiatives throughout the 2025/2026 football season.
Established in 2009, the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association provides a vital lifeline to islanders affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. Working in partnership with Health and Social Care, the charity provides invaluable information, advice, companionship and support for carers and ex-carers of loved ones impacted by the disease.
The new year-long partnership kicks off this weekend when volunteers from the charity will attend Muratti Day on Saturday, 17th May, collecting donations and raising awareness of the charity’s work. The collaboration underpins Victoria Park’s commitment to supporting local charities and the wider community by providing an inclusive and welcoming hub with football at its heart.
Rob Jones, Director at Victoria Park, said: “We’re delighted to announce Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association as our chosen charity partner for the 2025/2026 season. The commitment and dedication of everyone involved in the charity is vital to supporting those affected by the disease, and we’re proud to be playing our small part in helping raise vital funds and awareness for all islanders affected by the disease.
Julie Thompson, Manager at Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, said: “The Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association is privileged to be chosen as the inaugural charity for Victoria Park and are looking forward to working together on various initiatives over the next 12 months.
“Support from organisations like this is crucial in enabling our charity to continue assisting all those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. Thank you!”
