Bumper Weekend of Football Fun Planned as Victoria Park Turns One
Victoria Park is set to bring the community together for a thrilling weekend of football action as it celebrates its first birthday in March.
On Saturday 28 March and Sunday 29 March, Guernsey’s home of football will welcome fans to Victoria Avenue for a series of events marking a year since the stadium opened its gates for the first time.
Guernsey FC’s men’s team will kick off the celebrations on Saturday 28 March, when they take on Peacehaven & Telscombe, echoing their epic opener against Woking’s Westfield FC last year. To commemorate the occasion, Guernsey FC is generously donating free tickets to schools across the Bailiwick. In addition, half the profits from the match’s 50/50 draw will be donated to Victoria Park’s Charity Partner, Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, who will be collecting donations on the day. Young football fans will also have the chance to enter an exclusive online competition to walk out with the Green Lions as a Victoria Park mascot.
On Sunday 29 March, Victoria Park will host a Girls’ Community Football Festival in the morning. Organised by the Guernsey FA, the event will showcase the growing popularity of girls’ football in the island. The girls’ festival will be followed in the afternoon by a Victoria Park 3v3 Football Tournament for Year 3 and Year 4 players.

Victoria Park has quickly become a place for the whole community and we felt it only fitting to organise a weekend that brought everyone together, from our Green Lions and their loyal fans to the grassroots players of tomorrow.
