Music Fans Pack the Park for Supersonic Gig at Guernsey’s Home of Football

Around 2,000 music fans came together at Victoria Park on Saturday night as local tribute band O’eh’sis delivered an unforgettable evening of live music at the first-ever concert to be staged at Guernsey’s Home of Football.

The sell-out event marked another major milestone for Victoria Park, transforming the stadium from football ground to live music venue for a night that combined some of Oasis’ biggest anthems with a poignant moment of reflection.

The atmosphere built throughout the evening thanks to a fantastic line-up of support acts, with Not Yet, Aviation and The Devotees taking to the stage ahead of the headline performance. Each brought their own energy to Victoria Park, warming up the crowd and helping to make the stadium’s first music event a true celebration of live performance.

By the time O’eh’sis took to the stage, the crowd was ready and in full voice as the band worked their way through a catalogue of hits that has provided the soundtrack to generations. Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova, Supersonic and Roll With It were among the classics that had the crowd singing along.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening came during Live Forever, when the stadium screens showed a specially created montage celebrating the lives of people who have been loved and lost over the past couple of years. Ahead of the concert, ticket holders had been invited to submit photographs of loved ones they wished to remember, creating a moving shared moment for families and friends across the island.

Tyler Edmonds, from O’eh’sis, said: “What an incredible night. Playing to 2,000 people in such a fantastic setting was really special and the Guernsey crowd was brilliant from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable night.”

The concert was the first major live music event to be staged at Victoria Park since the stadium opened in March 2025 and demonstrated the versatility of the venue beyond football.

“Victoria Park will always be Guernsey’s Home of Football, but from the outset our ambition has also been to create a venue that sits at the heart of the community and can be enjoyed in many different ways.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to O’eh’sis, the support acts and everyone involved in bringing the event together over the course of the week. A special thank you must also go to the support teams for their Herculean efforts on the night, and, of course, to everyone who joined us and helped make Victoria Park’s first concert such a success. It really was Guernsey at its very best!”

Following a landmark first 18 months for Victoria Park, Saturday’s concert provided another glimpse of the potential of Guernsey’s newest sporting and community venue - and proved that, whether it’s football chants or Oasis anthems ringing around the ground, Victoria Park knows how to create an atmosphere!
